DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS FOR HEALTHY LIVING
Many Americans commonly use nutritional supplements as adjunct treatments for various medical conditions. Data shows the use is growing rapidly. For example, the 2012 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) Alternative Medicine Supplement showed that 17.7 percent of US adults had used natural products in the previous year, including herbs and other naturally occurring non-botanical supplements.
Supplements have been shown to help various medical conditions including Type 2 diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, and have other attributes such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidants properties.
